Jayne Doll designs

Monday, February 6th, 2006

cp_jaynedoll.jpgCould our madcap mercenary be any more loveable? Yes, if he were in cloth doll form.

Sadly such dolls are not for sale (are they?) but you can get this adorably homicidal design on a shirt, mug, button, tile, or journal at K. Kelly’s shop. Raggedy Andy was never so huggable, or so well armed.

I’ll bet there’s a market for Precious Moments Serenity figurines. Just sayin’.

I Love Vera

Saturday, February 4th, 2006

cp_ilovevera.jpgJayne’s classic pin-up shirt, plus a lot more.

I Love Vera has several of Jayne’s T-shirt designs, as well as Browncoats wear, Miranda shirts, Reaver images, quote designs and, of course “I Heart Vera.”

River the Reaver Slayer

Saturday, February 4th, 2006

cp_reaverslayer.jpgThis cool design plays up River’s Bufferific scene, the one that makes you wonder about Joss’ fascination with teenage girls with edged weapons. Or maybe it was just me.

Anyway, Pocki has two designs with River in a fighting mood and the words “River the Reaver Slayer” in a familiar font: ReaverSlayer and ReaverSlayer2. Check ‘em out.

Big Red Button

Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

bigredbutton_whedons.jpgIt’s a mark of how distracted I’ve been, doing this site, that I’ve had it up for nearly a month to tell you all about the cool Serenity stuff all around you and it completely escaped me to mention I have my own CafePress store. Geez.

SerenityStuff Stuff

serenitystuff.jpgIf you’ve been hanging around this site at all you’ve got to be wondering this. I know I am.

New at Big Red Button, our first SerenityStuff.com design available on T-shirts, jackets, stamps, and magnets.

Firefly Cargo Bay

Monday, January 16th, 2006

cargobay1.jpgAnyone can make logos and quote shirts (and many do). But the shops I love are the ones that come up with different designs that make browncoats doubletake in a humorous cartoon manner and shriek, “I want that!”

Granted, browncoats are apt to scream that about most anything even remotely Firefly-related — I certainly am, which is why we’re here — but the Firefly Cargo Bay has more than its share of cool stuff, such as the great YoSaffBridge design pictured. There are dozens of designs here, ranging from inspirational browncoat wear to Fruity Oaty Bar wear to the Magic Three Switches to, yes, quote shirts, but quote shirts with attitude.

cargobay2.jpgI went with this one because it’s a nod to my long-ago fencing days, because non-fans ask questions and you know where that leads, and because I always wanted to be a boy-whore.

Clothing, prints, buttons, etc.

Airylli Rising

Sunday, January 15th, 2006

airylli_WWII1.jpgAirylli has a variety of CafePress shops with quotes, the problems of eating an ice planet, and more. But the designs that stand out for me are the ones based on WWII posters, such as the one pictured (”Browncoats: They Fight For You”) that includes Mal’s “We have done the impossible” speech. Very nicely done designs that stand aside from the usual crowd.

Shirts, calendars, prints, buttons, etc.

ReadMyChest.com

Monday, January 9th, 2006

readmychest.jpgDo a search for Firefly or Serenity at CafePress and I’ll bet most of the designs that pop up are from ReadMyChest.com. One of the more prolific shopmakers, Kathy has a solid range of designs and quotes and will make new designs on request. I liked the Veterans of Interplanetary Wars logo (pictured) and the shirt that reads, “Serenity: Knowing which River not to cross.”
