Blue Moon Novelties

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

bluemoon.jpgBlue Moon Novelties has a selection of original shirts and hoodies that are well worth checking out. My favorites are the “Original Browncoat” (pictured) and the Mudder’s Milk design, but there are also designs for Jaynestown University, Blue Sun, Independents, and a cool TG Freight shirt (and laundry bag!)

Check the quantities; stuff sells out quickly. There’s also a Sale Page, where items are marked down pretty much at whim, and the occasional goodie package of an armload of merchandise at an excellent price. And you always get something extra tossed in the envelope. Very customer friendly, highly recommended.

Big Damn South Park(ish) Heroes

Monday, January 23rd, 2006

bigdamnsite.gif“You killed Fanty! You bastard!”

OK, maybe not. But these familiar-looking designs for our heroes are adorable and subversive, just as we always imagined them. Big Damn Site has the whole cast in South Park style, available on a variety of T-shirt colors, and you can even specify what you want them to say.

Be sure to pick the right shop for your area (US, UK, and international) as shirt colors and designs may change.

Outer Rim Outfitters

Wednesday, January 11th, 2006

outerim.jpgOfficial swag provider for the Browncoats of New York and New Jersey. Very nice designs for each (I love the NYC logo, pictured) and a Browncoat design with “These Colors Don’t Fade” slogan. You can buy brown t-shirts at their website or different varieties through their CafePress shops:
Browncoats of New Jersey , These Colors Don’t Fade (NJ version)
Browncoats of New York , These Colors Don’t Fade (NY version)
These Colors Don’t Fade (generic)

Serenity shirts from Hot Topic

Wednesday, January 11th, 2006

hottopic_shirts1.jpgAnd it came to pass that Hot Topic, the king of trendy clothing,  noticed Serenity, and saw that it was Good. And it produced three Serenity T-shirt designs — the movie logo, a Browncoats shirt with “I Aim to Misbehave” on the back, and a black shirt with the River pose from the international poster and the words “My Turn.” And Browncoats rejoiced, and bought out the website stock in a week and a half.

Update 2/11/06: Two of the designs — the logo shirt and the Browncoats shirt — are back in stock online. No clue about stock in stores or future plans, but grab these while you can. There may also be some at the Hot Topic stores in malls around the country. Just check your local store — here’s a list — and if they’re out, they can check other local stores and have stock shipped over for you. Here’s the shirt info:

Serenity Logo T-Shirt - SKU: 272754 (Sizes Sm-XL), SKU: 221108 (Size 2XL)

Serenity Browncoats T-Shirt - SKU: 211458 (Sizes Sm-XL), SKU: 201315 (Size 2XL)

Serenity My Turn T-Shirt - SKU: 250169 (Sizes Sm-XL), SKU: 287921 (Size 2XL)

Solar Industries T-shirts

Monday, January 9th, 2006

solarindustries.jpgSolar Industries has a nice line of Firefly/Serenity t-shirts available with some very nice designs of Alliance logos, the Angle-Sino Alliance flag, the Research and Rescue team, the hands of blue men, some Independents designs, and a range of Blue Sun wear (I assume; the link for those was dead when I was there).

Professional-looking logos on a large variety of shirt colors for a respectable price. Very nice.

Joss Whedon is My Master Now

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

thinkgeekshirt.jpgThe hilarious and oh-so-true tagline from this classic PvPOnline strip is available in shirt form!

Joss and Firefly have been thrown love from a lot of webcomics, and PvPOnline’s Scott Kurtz has been right up there with proclaiming his love for all things Whedon, at least where science fiction is concerned.

Buy: Amazon, ThinkGeek

AbbyShot’s Browncoats

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

abbyshot.jpgAbbyShot Custom Clothier is offering a replica browncoat that’s amazingly identical to the one Mal wears pretty much every waking moment.

Made of suede, distressed leather, and specially-made buckles to match the originals, as soon as you put on one and feel the weight settle around your shoulders you’ll want to take on the Alliance all by your ownself.

Available in 11 different sizes from 32 (Zoeish) up to 52 (Montyish). Each one is slightly different and just what you need for your browncoat fantasies. Um, I meant costume contests. I’m sure I did.

BlueSunShirts.com

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

bluesun.gifNot only is bluesunshirts.com one of the oldest browncoat suppliers, but you’re not limited to the ubiquitous Blue Sun logo. There’s also some replicas of Jayne Cobb’s famed t-shirt ensemble, and one for Slim’s Used Spacecraft Sales (which I bought for myself but my son swiped it and won’t give it back). Plus there’s Blue Sun hats and sweatshirts.

Very reasonably priced (price includes postage) and high quality merchandise.

Browncoat Patches

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

serenity_patch.jpgAre you in the Independent Army? Maybe Alliance Security? How about a nice Blue Sun patch for that jacket or ballcap? Or the Serenity logo, just the way it appears on the ship?

Browncoatpatches.com is ready to help.

Patches are sold individually, and there’s a Jayne Cobb Maidenhead Bar Patch Set consisting of a Blue Security patch, a Sergeant First Class patch, a triangular red security patch and a hexagonal patch like the one he wore on his shoulder, presumably keepsakes from previous victims. Serenity logo patches are also available in limited silver and gold Collector’s Edition versions with special packaging, individual numbers and security holograms (the gold one is pictured above). Order now!
