The boxes are back, and TFAW.com has 'em for preorder at 20% off the retail of $17.99.
In examining the rich and cohesive world of Serenity, we've designed a special lunch box. With the Serenity logo in brilliant litho-printed color on one side, and the iconic image from "Fruity Oaty Bar" commercial on the other, bordered by the exotic intergalactic currency created for the film, this handsome lunch box is an insider's dream come true.

I should mention that this information was announced by the host of the event, who got it from the DH rep that's been at most of the Firefly showings.
I like the sound of "line" of lunchboxes….I'm not too fond of the fruity oaty bar design (although in all fair disclosure I did pre-order one!). I'd love to see them come up with alternate designs.
Well, I know that in the wake of the original cancellation, they were looking into other designs. At the same time, the Fruity Oaty Bar one was a favorite inside Dark Horse, so they were also bummed when it was pulled.
I still haven't heard if it's the same FOB design or something different, though.
I love the Oaty Bar – the logo, unless it has something else on the other side, is kinda boring.
Dark Horse lunch boxes tend to run on the pricey side too. But they are nice.
The logo and the Oaty Bar are the same lunch box. One side, Oaty Bar; the other, Serenity. Win win!
I pre-ordered one before. If I order now, will I get 2? Hmm . . .

For some reason all of your post starting with the one announcing Marian Call's album and earlier are all in bold. I'm not sure why that's happening.
I don't think I can resist a lunch box with the Fruity Oaty goodness of that lunchbox.

There are two different lunchboxes now. You should update the post or make a new one to let people know of this change. One has the Serenity logo on the front, with the ship on the back. The other has the Fruity Oaty Bar logo on the front, and the Fruity Oaty Bar girls on the back.
And here I was congratulating myself on getting a scoop when I checked my comments afterwards and saw you'd already mentioned it. Curse my highly alert readers!
