Look inside the Serenity Collector's Edition DVD

Thanks to Zach from World's Finest DVD Report, I've got pics of the new Serenity DVD. Please try not to drool over your keyboard any more than you absolutely have to.

The front is a window with River's face and the logo on it. When you open the DVD it unfolds so that the back of the trifold unit fills in the rest of the front cover with Mal and Serenity herself.

Inside the two discs are nestled in front of more graphics.

Note the handy inserts advertising more Serenity stuff (for actual stuff, not for this site, unfortunately), some of which hasn't actually been officially announced yet, so you'll have another surprise waiting for you.

This is a beautiful package, with new artwork and an elegant touch throughout. Remember, if you want to see more Serenity items, it's important that this gorgeous DVD sell big, especially the first week. Order it from Amazon, TFAW.com, the Universal site, or at your local store. And if you spread the word you might win one!

As a UK Browncoat I pre-ordered my R1 copy a while ago and happily it arrived yesterday – although surprisingly mine was a Canadian version, not the US I was expecting. There doesn't appear to be any significant difference save for dual English/French text on the back of the package (unless anyone knows different), and my only deeply minor niggle is that it's a shame that some of the items shown on the insert aren't up on the website yet. But overall – very shiny!
