I am… conditionally… happy
Computer crash update: it appears my motherboard got fried but my hard drives (and my data) are OK. A huge relief compared to what I was expecting, which was to lose everything and be left sobbing.
Still a great many headaches ahead, but not as many as I’d feared. On the plus side, I did get a column out of it.

Sorry for the crash. Glad is was the MB and not the HD. But guy, the column is hysterical! Sadly, it’s also way too true.
