Serenity isn’t the only thing celebrated at Hot Topic, and yay for them!
Now they have the Firefly logo on a black, 100% cotton tee. Keep ‘em flyin’!
Look for your local Hot Topic, or buy it online.

Just when you worry about the merchandise slowing down, more new stuff comes along. And this makes me grin.
MakeUSmile Tees has the same official Serenity T-shirts as Hot Topic and the other shops (logo, Buddha, Let’s Be Bad Guys) but they’ve also got logo hoodies, which are very cool, and they’re asking for suggestions. I suggest you help them out.
Remember those playful days when you and Kaylee would engage in a rousing game of darts? She’d get a bullseye and laugh, cocking an eyebrow at you in a challenging way, and you’d stand up and, nodding to her as one sportsman to another, hurl your darts into her neck. Good times, good times.
Or that was a dream I had. I’m never sure. Anyway, you can get one of the darts the Reavers hit Kaylee with, in this elegant display that includes a screenshot from the movie and a laser-cut logo, from The Prop Store of London.
The ‘Verse is everywhere, and everywhere is in the ‘Verse. Or, more accurately, Browncoats are everywhere and they bring the ‘verse with ‘em. Such as in, say, The Sims.
The Sims is a 3D immersive game that allows you to create avatars and let them live their lives with casual or heavy-handed influence from you. You can personalize your avatars and design their surroundings, and it seems as if some people have been doing their best to Jossify things.
billygruffs has been making Whedonverse avatars and along with the Buffy and Angel ones, he’s got the Big Damn Heroes. He’s missing Wash and Simon, but has two Jaynes so that helps.
Fortunately other Sims players picked up the slack. There are more here and there, just do a search for ‘em (registration required).
Back in the days of the show, modeler SkinwalkeR was asked to create a map of the ship that could be used in Unreal Tournament and to help create a virtual walkthru of the ship for the FOX website (you can read about it and see some preliminary shots archived here. This effort kinda died when the show did, but SkinwalkeR did make some character skins that are still around.

Mal, Zoe, and Jayne, for Unreal Tournament or Quake 3. Download ‘em here.
I wonder if Microsoft has any blue-handed employees?
Dunno for sure, but I do know you can fly a Firefly through their online game Freelancer with the help of this MOD by Godzero.

This MOD can be played in Multiplayer, Singleplayer and open Singleplayer games. It adds the FireFly class Freighter, available on Planet Pittsburgh for $5000.
FireFly class freighters are one of the sturdiest classes of ships you will ever find in the universe. With a good crew these ships will practically live forever. Mostly used by smugglers because of its numerous hiding places, this ship has an excellent cargo carrying capacity and a strong reinforced hull, making it a popular choice with many traders. After its delivery to Sirius in 312 AS it went through a complete overhaul to help it better cope with the dangers of the Sirius system, including 3 chin mounted gun mounts and 5 hull mounted turret mounts. With that much firepower Firefly’s can go anywhere in Sirius with near immunity.
Adam at Black Market Beagles is making his gorgeous Serenity Day poster, created for the San Francisco Browncoats, available in a limited and numbered run. This is a truly stunning piece of art with a nice retro feel.
Also be sure to check out the rest of the place. Little Damn Heroes, Superbrowncoats, even a Snakes on a Train Job, just to really mix your obsessions. Plenty of great designs you won’t see anywhere else.
And you know you want ‘em!
One copy of each of the episodes, signed by the cast, will be auctioned off per week between now and November by the California Browncoats. All proceeds (minus eBay/Paypal fees) will be donated to Mr. Baldwin’s choice of charity: the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation (http://www.mclef.org/) , rated 4-stars by Charity Navigator. MC-LEF’s major focus is providing college scholarships to the surviving children of fallen Marines, Federal law enforcement officers, and certain other servicemen and women. This is a great chance to help a good cause and grab a piece of Firefly for yourself. You can see his comments about it here.

Lilac Trading Station needs just the right motto for their new Zoe shirt, and you can help. Come up with a good one, and you could win an actual piece of the film.
Head over to the Station and submit your suggestion, and then check back to vote on the best ones. Winner will get one of the limited edition shirts, a piece of the film, and maybe some more stuff.
Nine people on the ship, nine people on the crew… coincidence?
