I’m a little teapot, short and prop

prop_teapot.jpgNew at The Prop Store of London, an Oriental-style teapot used as set dressing in the movie.

I’m of two minds about this kind of thing. I love having stuff that saw screen time and may have been, you know, touched by the BDHs, and I really love props I can afford, but I keep getting the nagging feeling I could hit a Pier One and load up my house with stuff that looks like set dressing for the movie. Maybe I could buy a teapot somewhere, take it to a con, and have Gina Torres touch it…

I posted this on the other teapot listing:

I bought the “other” red one that was listed as “sold” the moment they posted it, my wife loves her bday present.

For those who might want to buy one exactly like it, here are the details:
Whomever does the purchasing for there “asian-type” stuff did so at Rafu Bussan in japan town in L.A.

This pot was listed as model TTP-058

The box that the pot came in was labeled “Tokoname Yaki” - Green with japanese script

An exact match of the pot can be found on this website:
    http://gray-seddon-tea.com/tokoname.shtml
(scroll about half way down - its the “Fire Stone teapot”)

Now…. as long as I’m at it, I’m looking for the cup that Jayne drinks out of in the movie - it’s a clay (or ceramic) cup with what appears to be a devil or demons head on it. Anyone have any lead ins on who makes it? (Can anyone in LA scour Rafu Bussan and hunt one down for me?)
