Free paper Serenity model
Why wait for the plastic and resin versions? Print out and assemble your very own bulk transport ship with Jorge A. García’s paper Serenity kit. It’s free, and pretty damn awesome.
Warning: the instructions aren’t in English, but there are plenty of pictures to follow. Be sure to scroll all the way down the page; there’s also instructions for making a movie version.
There’s another version, based on this one, by Sean White. You can follow his progress and download the files at his blog, or download the files from summerglau.co.uk).

If you scroll down to the bottom Jorge Garcia’s Serenity page, there is a link to a word file that includes all of the pages you need, with a bit of editing on each image to make it look almost exactly like the movie version of the ship. I’m still working on the model, but it’ll be sweet to have it done.

Bravo to all who attempt this. The following comment on McRory’s blog is enough to warn me off:
“Are the tabs numbered correctly? It looks like tab 99 should connect to section 98, at least that’s how it seems to fit… ”
*runs away*

I’ve never made a paper model before. Does anyone have any suggestions or links I can visit to help?

Hi,
I made it a little bit simpler - the “Serenity simple Paperkit”…
