Signed bank money and a little blue dress

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006

prop_signedmoney.jpgThe Prop Store of London has added two new cool items. First up is the blue dress Inara is wearing at the end of the movie.

Second is a bank money display that’s similar to the one they offered previously, but get this: not only do you get the laser-cut Serenity logo as before, you also get a cast photo and the bill is signed by Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau, Ron Glass, Yan Feldman, Rafael Feldman and Christina Hendricks. I don’t really remember Saffron in the movie — and wouldn’t she have been a great addition? — but what the heck.

Stylish Kaylee, stylish fan, and River’s stylus

Monday, March 20th, 2006

New at the Prop Store of London: the miniskirt outfit Kaylee wore on board Serenity (short brown skirt, cool cropped top), a Maidenhead Bar fan dancer fan with a picture of a fish on it (not the one used to block Mal and friends, though), and the stylus that young River was using in her flashback (which I just bought for myself, so, you know, sorry).

Firefly costume auction up and running

Friday, March 17th, 2006

prop_malcoat.jpgThe next private auction by Firefly costume designer Shawna Trpcic has started, and there’s some shiny stuff indeed. First and foremost is a replica of Mal’s browncoat. Not the original, but as close as you’d ever be able to get since it’ll be made by the same person (Jonathan Logan) and aged by Shawna exactly as she did the original, including the sewn-up bullet hole in the shoulder. You can even have Jon and Shawna autograph the inside if you like.

There’s also Inara’s ballgown from “Shindig,” lots of dresses from “Heart of Gold” including Inara’s and Nandi’s, Gabriel Tam’s suit from “Safe,” and more. Start your bidding!
